Second Stage of Work

We discussed about our website design or style last week.
And, we decided to use Nostalgia as our background design,to pull out the Jonker Street nostalgic feel. Thus, we combine our idea and come one only one design.

Design of GUI 

From the top, we will make our own banner by using Photoshop.
Start from the left side, you may see the 5 different button, such as home button, introduction button, attraction button, destination button and the last one is gallery button.
Each of us will handle one button, mean each of us will create and design our own button.


The person who in charge the button : 
Home button - Sua Shui Sian 
Introduction button- Foo Lee Jiun 
Attraction button - Jessy Lai Sze Mei 
Destination button - Tee Zhi Qi 
Gallery button- Heng Yeong Xin


After the button, there are a space for each of us fill in our content.
And each of us, will do some things different at there.
We will add in something different, not only text and images.
For example, home button will add in flash.

Division Task

This post will talk about our blog making process.
First of all, 5 of us form a group and we decide to choose Jonker Street, Melaka as our main topic. 
The next day, we having our first group meeting at library foyer, we discuss about the job scope. 
We discuss about which design or style we wanted to use as our blog style.
After a few discussions, we decided to use Nostalgia as our background design,to pull out the Jonker Street nostalgic feel. Thus, we need to keep it up with our pace, so here is the scope of work.

Yeong Xin (Leader of the group)

She is responsible for distribution of work,and writing a proposal. 

Shui Sian (Member)

She is responsible for design the blog, and posting the information that provided by others.

She also is the one who visiting the Jonker Street and capture all the scene.

Jessy (Member) 
She is responsible for editing the all the photo by using the Photoshop software.

Lee Juin  and Zhi Qi (Member) She is responsible for collecting the information about Jonker Street and write some description based on the photo. 

All of us work together, and enjoy together.

By the way, this is the initial process of our project. 

Proposal

Malacca named as The Historic State, is also the third smallest Malaysia state. As we know Malacca was full of culture and heritage-Jonker Street was one of the most culture street at Malacca. On 19 June 2000, the Malacca State Government had launched the concept of Jonker Walk, utilizing the richness of heritage values in this narrow antique street to realize a live touristy culture street.

Objectives

• to promote to those who interested in Culture and also antique lovers. you can find some childhood toys, classical musical instruments.
• attract the foreigners or western travelers to know more about our chinese culture.
• also promote the Baba-Nyonya heritage. There is a Baba-Nyonya museum at Jonker street which established in 1896s.

Demographics or Target Audience

Senior citizens- Those senior citizens would love jonker as well, which they are nostalgia. Jonker was full of heritage that they can find their childhood memories here. Besides, the present of the antique shops that sell many antique goods of the past period reflects the historical significance of the street.

Tourists-Jonker street reborn as a tourist spot when the state government decided to close the street from traffic on the evening of each Friday, Saturday and Sunday started in year 2000. So, tourist also our target audience. Jonker become the tourist attraction of Malacca one of the reason was the food. Tourist can find variety of food here, which can meet their satisfaction.

Teenagers/Adults-Jonker attract all walks of people, even though teenager of adults. This demographics group represent a huge number to marketers. They have the strong purchasing power which can influence the economics.

Our Group Name will be Jonker Walk. As i mention the blog is all about Jonker Melaka.
